Stacy competed in the Austin, TX Tough Mudder competition. It consisted of 10 miles of obstacle courses and endurance. He completed in 2 hrs 20min and still had a smile on his face! We were all so proud. We had a blast with everyone that came to watch him compete. It's an amazing thing to see him cross the finish line and be embraced by so many who love and support him.
He tried to kiss Shelby, but the Shelbster just screamed "Eww! You're all muddy!"
The race is all about helping your fellow man/woman along. Stacy built a team of 2 other guys on their own during the race.
One more try.....nope.....hugs aren't gonna happen.
During the long run deep into the wilderness where we couldn't go, we all hung out. Shelby was loving the big blow up Marine.
In lieu of the 4 ft flames (burn ban) they had to run through a smokehouse. Stacy looked like he just loved it when he came out...lol...
I believe Harper once quoted "The Princess and the Frog" on her blog with a pic of Shae's backside. I'd like to echo that here...."women like a man with a big back porch"....here's to the Jones Men....hehehe
Shelby was exhausted from all that chasing Daddy around, so Grandpa Dino helped out.
Shelby yelled so loud, "Go Daddy!" that Stacy couldn't help but smile and wave through the exhaustion.
Ut oh....fell down...
Stacy ROCKED the monkey bars! Soooo many people fell into the water and had to wade out, but Stacy was a champ swinging through in one smooth motion!
Almost to the end....he's the one in the water with long sleeves.
The Three Amigos are in the front together.
And to end the event, they went through the part I was dreading since I found out about this thing....the electrical shock. I believe my words were "What the F*#& for!" Seriously...why? Look at their faces!
I didn't get the pic....but it dropped Stacy straight to his knees right about here....
Stacy, Danny & Vlad.
BEER!
Okay, Shelby, "no" is no longer an option...you'd better kiss your Tough Mudder Dad.
So proud!
I see the resemblance in this picture....not sure I've ever noticed it before, since the Jones genes are so dominant. Love this pic!
So sweet!
Uncle Tim, Marine himself, came to support his nephew.
Dennis & Elaine made the drive there with the Shelbster. Dennis drove Stacy to the race that morning, so he endured a long day. The rest of us waited in line forever, missing the first 20min or so.
My mom & dad made the haul to spend time with us and support Stacy too.
Thank you all for all your love and support!
