Shelby is so excited for all his new friends on the way! (Top: Christine w/Baby Claire, Bottom: Sandy w/Baby Jack) The funniest was after discovering Baby Jack, Shelby decided to go see what baby was in Daddy's belly. Stacy was thrilled.

Above: Shelby likes to count to 3, say, "ABC" and tell on Michael who bit him. Since he's usually the biter, we were slightly relieved that he hadn't been the one to inflict pain that day. (Yes, he gets that from Mom. How's that fair? Daddy's good looks and Mommy's bad habits...)

Twilight Saga

For anyone who has yet to get into Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight Saga" I just wanted to say, "You're missing out!" Recent knowledge that Laura Dutton (actually, I don't have confirmation of obsession yet) and Harper Jones are now my fellow obsessed followers has lead me to want to ensure you're all involved in the "cult."

I owe a thanks to my neighbor, Holly, for lending me her copy of Twilight and for later toughing out the midnight party release of "Breaking Dawn." (Pic)

Stacy originally gave me an article on our anniversary that one of my favorite bands, "Blue October" was touring with Stephenie, as his music inspires her writings. I knew I had to check it out. I've read each book in the series twice and I frequent her website. She has posted her draft of "Midnight Sun" (Edward's side of Twilight) so check it out. http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/

Shae & Harper's Vow Renewal

Shae & Harper renewed their vows on Labor Day weekend. We all visited her parents' beautiful ranch in Chacon, New Mexico: Alta Luna Ranch. See the slideshow above for pics of the amazing place, loving couple and great times had by family and friends.

Latest Videos of Shelby

Shelby got a new pair of boots from his Tehya for Uncle Shae's vow renewal. He was so excited that he had to try them on right then. Here is a video of him showing them off. We had to bring out daddy's new boots also, and Shelby wanted to try those on.

We had to share with everyone the latest cute thing that Shelby has learned. We have been working with him on something that my grandmother did with Shae and I when we were little. Oh ya, he has his first girlfriend too.

Mommy is away on business, so daddy made dinner. I should have known that he would love the recipe that two generations before him love.

Capitola - A day at the beach

We decided early on Saturday that we wanted to go to the beach. After only an hour drive we were at the Pacific Ocean. Here is a video of us watching the surfers and Shelby doing something cute (like always). by Stacy

Stacy was ready to hit post, but I wanted to share some additional photos. And for the record, this isn't a warm beach. It was 64 degrees! Shelby and I had our jackets on for dinner at the restaurant where they had outdoor heaters. Of course, Stacy was comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. But it was beautiful and we had a blast, nonetheless.

Happy Birthday, Jett!

Shelby's buddy, Jett, turned 1 year old on August 12th. His birthday party last weekend was the cutest! It was a Biker Bash, as his daddy and grandpa are motorcycle kings. Notice his mohawk for the occassion. (Poor Shelbs doesn't have enough hair to compete)The mean mug.

Stylin' with Mommy. The cute thing about this photo is that Stacy had the camera around his neck. Shelby leaned into me and kept saying, "Cheese" until he took the shot. I've trained him well.

The blue icing was a blast. We all felt like kids with blue lips and teeth. A separate occassion with Shelbs and Jett having fun.

Dutton Visit

Mason and Laura Dutton came to visit last weekend! They arrived on Friday, and Stacy grilled out an excellent meal. The weather was sooooo beautiful that we ate dinners on the patio and enjoyed the sun during the day. The heat was much more merciful than their town of Salt Lake City, UT where they just bought an amazing home!

Shelby took to Laura immediately....he has a gift for reeling in the pretty girls. ;-> He took a little while to warm up to Uncle Mason. He wasn't so sure about some competition in the who thinks he's the cutest contest. But, he soon found his new best bud and we enjoyed tons of laughs all weekend long.

Satrday we all went to the San Francicso 49ers practice so Stacy & Mason could see how well their pal, Alan, was doing. I was fired up about the sounds, smells and sights of football season approaching, so I can only imagine how giddy the guys were! Alan got us passes that put us in the area with even the players wives. Talk about some bling bling! After practice, Stacy got to see one of his old coaches that now coaches with the team, and Alan was sweet enough to spend some extra time hanging out.

Then, it was on to SF for a little fun at Fisherman's Wharf. The original plan was to visit Alcatraz, but when Stacy checked on tickets earlier in the week, they were sold out for weeks!

That evening Holli and Chaila came over to babysit so we could take Mason out to his BIRTHDAY DINNER at Wente Winery. Talk about some serious food! I realized that night how long it'd been since I really tasted my meals. With Shelby always needing attention, I shove food in for survival and for energy that I just exert chasing him around. Without him there, I smelled and really tasted it all! WOW! My taste buds woke from an 18 mo nap to the mouth-watering lure of scallops. And since they had risen from their slumber, Stacy cooked chili Sunday and may I say that he has officially perfected his PaPa's chili recipe. Anyone that's tasted it knows it didn't even need much work, but Stacy has taken it to a whole new level. Mason agreed and shoved down 3 bowls! (Fat kid) But, it was his birthday......

Thanks again for taking the time and spending the $ to come visit, guys. We had the BEST time! I can't wait to see you in a week and a half when I'm there for work. Thanks for not making me sleep in a lonely hotel. You know we love you!

Jones Reunion!

We had a great time last weekend at the Jones Reunion on Lake Travis. Elaine was the hero! She used her airline miles to buy 3 tickets and let us surprise the family for the reunion and Shae's 30th birthday! THANKS, GRAMMY! It was priceless.
Everyone was doing so well.
MaryAnn was a hoot and loved her "Manna" (Hannah). She had a great time taunting the Shelbster. They were so cute together. Her baby brother, Stacy Mohler Jones (aka Trace), is growing well in Mommy's tummy. Harper looked great and is feeling well.
It was so wonderful to spend quality time with the fam. We miss you guys!
