Snail Watching

Shelby reminded me on Sunday of the importance of slowing down and enjoying the little things.  He was so amazed by the snail and the "House on his back!"  I loved watching my son be mesmerized by something so simple.

He was worried that the snail was going to get his basketball, so he had to save it!

Grammy & Grandpa in town

We miss you guys!  Can't wait to see you in July!Shelby kept asking for you both this morning and again this evening.

Giants Game

Stacy and Dennis went to the San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies game on Sunday.  The game was 0-0 until the bottom of the 10th, and then the Giants won the game 1-0!

Grammy & Grandpa in town

Grammy and Grandpa arrived Thursday night for a fun-filled weekend!  On Friday while Mommy and Daddy were at work, they took Shelby shopping.  I did an entire load of just new clothes, all in preparation for 3T.  Socks, Pajamas, T-Shirts, Pants, Shorts, you name it!  And, they got Shelby his first box of pull-ups.
Friday night we went to dinner at Stacy's fav, Cattlemen's.  Shelby was so pumped to see the "Buffalo!"

Livermore's Wine Country Festival

Saturday, we all went to the 18th Annual Livermore Wine Country Festival.  Shelby & Grammy rode the choo choo train.

Then, Grammy took me fishing for ducks for a prize.  I won a safari paddle ball set.

On we went to the live music.  That's Ms. Marcy, Shelby's teacher in the pink jacket in the seats.  Shelby was excited to see her and we found out her husband was the lead singer!  Shelby entertained everyone with his moves.

I was excited for the photo opp on my favorite colorful wall downtown.

Stacy and Dennis were excited for the cool cars.  Shelby was angry, because he wasn't allowed to sit in them and drive.

And, he was all pooped out at the end of the day, as Grandpa took care of storytime.

TDLC's Carnival

The above is a compilation of Shelby at the carnival last night.  We had a blast!  We even w
on one of the baskets in a raffle.  It was a huge READING basket full of Dr. Seuss theme.  Quite appropriate for Shelby, as reading is another favorite activity of his.

Mommy's Brag Time

I'd like to take a few minutes to brag on the progress my little man is making in the world.  A few recent hilights include:
- First Pee Pee in the potty!!!!
- Counting to 15 in English (he struggles with 13)
- Counting to 10 in Spanish (he gets stuck on 7 "siete" but with prompting, continues on)

This child continues to amaze me daily....right along with wearing me out. :->

Wacky Wednesday & Garage Band

This week was TDLC (Trinity Daycare Learning Center's) 20th Anniversary.  Each day had a theme.  Monday was pajama day and parents got to enjoy a pancake breakfast with the kids.  Tuesday was camping day and Shelby took his school bus tent to share with his friends.  Featured below was "Wacky Wednesday!"  Looking good, huh?  Thursday was Sports Day, so Shelbs was fully decked in his 12th Man Gear.  Gig 'Em!
Shelby's favorite thing at school is music time when Mr. Jonathan comes to play his guitar.  He then comes home and gives us a reenactment.  With Mommy on drums, we have a real garage band around here.

Cowboys in California

Yes, there is such a thing as Cowboys in California.  For those that haven't visited Livermore, CA yet, it really is a little Texas town out here amongst the amazing Cali weather and culture.  http://www.ci.livermore.ca.us/ is the official city website.  You'll see there's a cowboy boot on the opening page.  Rodeos, wineries and symphony....doesn't get much better than this, folks.  There's even a big Feed and Livestock store outside of the city square off the main street.Quite symbolic of our chaotic household...betcha can't guess who trampled through Mommy's photo shoot. These boots are too big...These boots are too pretty...
But these boots are JUST RIGHT!

Camo kinda mornin'

Shelby & Mommy were hangin' out Saturday morning.  He was up at 5:30am (he's a 5:30-6am'er) I got him to go back to bed till 6.  I tried getting him set up with milk and a movie, and he constantly kept calling, 6:20 "Mommy...more milk please."  6:45 "Mommy, I drop my blanket."  7:00 "Mommy, oh no!" (the DVD was skipping)
UGH!  OKAY!  I'm up....at 7am.
So, how on earth do you stay mad at this cute little face.
He decided to play hide-and-seek under the table. And hide behind the wine.  He loves to hide and then holler out, "Mommy, have you seen Shelby?"So then we got dressed in his KISS shirt from Tehya.  He knew he was lookin' cool.
