Outdoor work for Spring

We spent time last weekend working in the yard.  Stacy mowed and Shelby I gardened.  We've been very proud of all our fun roses and hard work paying off.  He's also been great about maintenance (see how serious he gets below to be the insecticide dude).

Sophie even just chilled in the yard, unleashed, while we worked hard.

PaPa & Zsa Zsa - though Shelby has broken our A&M Stone, it still goes strong in our yard!

Shelby and I attacked this AWFUL garden that's yielded nothing but ugliness since we moved in.
We spent HOURS digging out rocks and clumps of old soil.  We broke everything up and removed all old plant roots.  He acted like a little excavator asking Daddy for a paintbrush to really brush away dirt and see what he's dealing with.
Then we added garden soil, black bark, a few flowers and Shelby decorated with his stick collection.  We bring home sticks from EVERYWHERE we go.  Next door to this is the rock garden.  Sticks and rocks....have been his things for years.
Yes, this is before the tooth extraction, so the loose bottom tooth looks...well, weird, in this pic.
But he was sooo proud to own the spraying of the roses with an internet searched natural pesticide all over every possible flower he could come in contact with.  LOL...entertainment for at least an hour. :-)

This kid don't play!  It's all business, nothing personal weird bugs on our flowers....just business.
