More from Tehya Time

Boy has this kid had a blast in Texas!
We told him he had to work hard at Tehya's house and be a big helper. Seems he did a great job.
And Tehya worked just as hard on Shelby's school lesson plan.
"C" is for Cooper.
Time to shine some pennies!
And with hard work comes time to play! Apparently they were the only people in the place on a weekday morning, so Shelby was in playland heaven!
Then it was off to Zsa-Zsa & Pa Pa's for some birthday fun and serious spoiling!
He had a Dinosaur cake that was soooo adorable! "D" is for Dinosaur. Tehya also took him to a Dinosaur museum, and I have video to share later.
Seriously? Who just eats the middle of a cake? Answer: Shelby Jones
Off to the Children's Museum for Arts & Crafts with Zsa-Zsa
I know I'm biased here, Zsa-Zsa, but I think Shelby wins! hehehehe
And yet another evidence of the spoiled little birthday boy...."C" is for Cowboy and "B" is for Boots!
These are some seriously handsome cowboys!Yeah...it's hard work to look this good.
"C" is for Chocolate milk... and look at these precious state of Texas waffles! What time can I come for breakfast!
Oh, and back to the party....
Shelby's fav...SPIDERMAN
!
YEAH! A new memory game. Tehya can now attest to how easy it is to lose to Shelby at both card games and memory games. I told her I never "let" him win...he smokes me on his own merit!
He's also an excellent puzzle solver.

Shelby's time with Tehya

I'm in Austin, TX for Cantrell's baby shower this weekend (pics to come later). Since Stacy will be coming back to Texas for the Tough Mudder contest in two weeks we decided to give Shelby 2 weeks with the grandparents.....aka 2 weeks of heaven! He's currently with his Tehya and Papa John for the first week. She sent the below pics of their time together. He's having a BLAST!
Helping Tehya with the horses...
Helping Papa John fix his farm equipment...And Tehya's working hard to make sure Shelby's not getting behind his class. They're covering letters B, C & D in his absence and he's making sure he doesn't forget A as well.Mommy wrapped one present for every day of the 17 days he's away from California. He's wearing "B for ball" and playing with the stickers I sent. And he's LOVING his horsey pancakes he makes each morning."C for cupcakes"
I head back home tomorrow, and it feels good to leave knowing he's already a happy camper!
Love you, Shelby Jones!!!!

Happy New Year from the Snow!

Stacy & Brian decided to go to Brian's property Wednesday night and stay through Friday. So, Rebecca planned a trip for the rest of us. We had so much fun! We stayed in a hotel in Grass Valley on Thursday after a long adventure of getting there, and then headed to Soda Springs Friday after an awesome cafe breakfast. The kids had their melt down moments, but overall they did great! Shelby and Nina always balance each other out so well. And no, she's not a girlfriend, just a friend....lol....we don't need to add to the Alex vs Giana competition.;->
The poor guys, though, they couldn't get the heater working at the trailer, so after one night of sleeping in 20 degree weather, they packed it up and headed home.

Ghetto kids..So sweet together.
The sun was out and it was GORGEOUS! Cold....but gorgeous.Tehya's hat & scarf she got Shelby are so stinkin' cute....and he looks cool. Ha!
Precious Nina
This was an inner tube ride that the kids loved.
Then, we took a little moving walkway up a little hill and the Rebecca tossed the kids down for a spin. That was a blast!
The boy vs girl thing shines through from time to time. Especially when it involves dangerous adventure. Shelby was determined to climb up this mountain with these other big kids and be "king of the mountain."
Till he just came rolling down...
So, back to the inner tube hill...
Then out to play in the snow, including snow ball fights!
There was another adventurous boy moment that had my heart pounding! Shelby went up and over a little bank into an area that was unchartered territory. Luckily he was too light to completely sink, but when I went to get him, I was waist deep! Talk about panic!Safe and sound in Mommy's arms...and I'm smiling again.
We hope to head back to the snow before the season's over and get Shelby on some skis!
