Will you be my Valentine?

Treasured Time w/ Tehya

We were so excited that Tehya could come visit for Shelby's 3rd birthday!!! He had a wonderful time.
I love this pic Stacy took....so sweet.
Shelby's face cracks me up here...what's that look? At least Tehya looks good. His favorite was Sunday when he made Tehya pay attention to him and all his new presents you see on the fireplace.Being goofy to get her attention.Okay, okay...I'll help you.Miss you! Love you! Come back soon!

After Party

The kids were rollin' Hollywood style with an After Party! I let them tear up Shelby's room, but they all helped clean up, too. L to R: Nicholas, Shelby, Chaila, Jett & Aaron on bottom. I've learned not to open gifts at the actual party. Much easier in keeping track for thank you notes (my priority) and for Shelby to slowly enjoy each gift along the way. We opened gifts until 10pm that night! Yes, he got to stay up ridiculously late, but clearly with all the excitment he wasn't going down any sooner.Busted! Aaron has been on a diet and sworn off sweets. This is the neighbor that Shelby calls, "Chocolate Cake" if that tells you what a feat it is to quit the sweets. He just couldn't resist! LOL Way to go, Chocolate Cake!Chaila grabbed Stacy's Canon Power Shot camera and had fun for the rest of the pics. Shelby's tattoo from the party.Yes, still smiling!Hey, Mikey! The Jettster was trying to copy Chaila.Happenin' party, peeps!

Party Party Party!

Shelby's All Sports themed party was a ton of fun. The invitations were sports trader cards with the party info as stats on the back.
This was the yard sign in the garden greeting the guests.
Stacy worked hard to finish off the playground. The recycled rubber mulch was the finishing touch. It was a hit!
I sold my soul to an evil power to ensure the sun came out. It was rain..rain..rain all week and I was freaking out with 59 attendees RSVP'd (21 being kids). 10 min before the party started the sun came out, a rainbow shined in front of the house and the party was on!
The kids were good to go, but all the parents not running around were freezing. Ah, outdoor Feb bday. Nina (previous blog subject) on left, her mom Rebecca, Derek & Landon (2 of my boss' 4 boyz) and Natalie. Stacy's co-worker Jeremy on far left.
Isaiah....you may remember his dad, Jeff, from picks of Stacy at Emerald bowl. He's moved up to Shelby's class now.
Carson also moved up to Shelby's class, and we had to start taking a double take when they're turned around with their blond hair, easy to get them confused. Carson kept telling his parents that was him on the bday invitation.
And you all know Baby Chase from previous blogs. Little man turned 1 yr old! We had his party earlier that day. Natalie and I coordinated for who wanted what time of day. He had the cutest jungle theme! Nat and her sister did a fabulous job! It was crazy with hand crafted sock puppet activities and everything...seriously!
Isn't she precious? Stacy's coworker, Jeremy was able to come by with his 2 precious little girls. This is Avery.
Also frequent to the blog....Chaila & Mia. Cute little ladies Shelby adores!
Tehya's front loader was a hit at the party. Jett was working hard.
We used Karl (friend of Natalie's) again for the cake this year. Remember the barn & animals last year. The cupcakes were basketballs, soccer balls, baseballs....and the football cake! It was sooooooo yummy! He's my hero. I just tell him the theme and let his creativity role!
Shelby had a blast hanging out with all his friends. Landon to the right, Isaiah, and can you see Nina & Nicholas' heads?Thank goodness my boss Brent grabbed my camera to take most of the shots of the crowd after the playground. I was busy. Thanks, BO! On the right, you can see Shelby's girlfriend, Alex, in the pink vest and Juaquin with a cupcake waiting to see if he gets sheet cake too. LOLWhat a fun crowd!!!! And real troopers with the weather colder than we had hoped. Thanks again to Mom and Dad for the outdoor heater we got last year! The party was a ton of fun! The best was watching the look on Shelby's face when everyone sang Happy Birthday! Stacy's trying to figure out how to get it off our video camera onto the blog.
THANKS to everyone that attended!!!!

Texas Boys in Cali

Juaquin & Shelby are the cutest little Cowboys there are!Stacy with little Esteban. Notice the Cowboys cap? Tiffany is from Victoria, TX, so though the boys were both born here, Stacy is ensuring Esteban knows he has roots in Texas.

Abby's Friend

Since Shelby replaced Abby with his buddy, Sadie, she decided to steal his Dinosaur Nonny sent him for her new friend....two can play this game, Shelbs.

Catching up on blogs...Sadie & Shelby

Sorry I'm so behind in blogging!
This is Shelby and one of his best friends...Sadie Robinson.

My baby is 3!

Shelby turned 3 years old on February 1st. I just can't believe it!!!!!
Stacy and I surprised him that morning with his very own bean bag (to match his new bedroom decor...primary colors). He was so excited, though I have no idea what the mean mug below is about. I think Swiper took something on Dora. LOL
He had a Dora balloon waiting and got to take it to school with his cupcakes for a mini-party with his classmates. I was SO PROUD of my boy! He kept singing Feliz Cumpleanos a ti.... For those lost...that's Happy Birthday song in Spanish. And for those who don't know...Spanish was my minor in college and I spent some amazing time studying in Cholula/Puebla, Mexico. I fully intend to have a bilingual kid. He's well on his way!
When I got home that evening he was dying to start opening some gifts. Uncle Shae, Ciotka, MaryAnn & Lil' Stacy sent him a book club membership to get books throughout the year! He was so excited!
This kid loves his dinosaurs and that just makes his Ciotka proud!
When I asked him to show me his new backpack, this is what I got...hmmm....
And his Uncle D, Aunt Sharla, Saige & Daxton sent him the perfect outfit for his birthday party! He got a football sweatshirt with S Jones on it. You'll see how it fit the All Sports theme of the party.
Our neighbor, Joan, couldn't attend the party, so she brought by his gift early. Cool Thomas the Train set where battery Thomas goes around and around and Shelby can pull the lever for him to stop at the station.
And when Tehya arrived that Friday, Shelby got his very own sleeping bag!!! He loves to ask for ours to cuddle up to watch cartoons on the weekend, and now he has his own. This was awesome, because she had it custom made. She picked out the fabric, the soft chocolate brown inside and it comes with a built in pillow. The best part is how it rolls up into a little zip bag with handles. SWEET! Thanks, Tehya.
