A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!

Stacy loves to say that Shelby has the attitudies sometimes.....Shelby + MaryAnn = Attitudlicious!
Tons more photos to come, but had to give some foreshadowing on the weekend we've had with the "Other Jones'
We keep joking that these two are less like loving cousins and fight more like brother and sister. They cracked us up and wore us all out in a matter of a few days.

Long Beach, CA

My friend, Brent, took these photos of me while we were in Los Angeles area last weekend at Long Beach. Technically these were at Seal Beach.
So, as much as I feel strange about blogging photos of myself, the few that have seen them have encouraged me to do so...

VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!!

Need your help! My best friend, Cantrell Morford, is in the top 10 for a Tennis apparel modeling contest! Now, it's up to all of us to vote. She's been modeling for me as I learn photography for a decade now, and I promise she's absolutely GORGEOUS! I've been totally jealous of her tennis-body, as I get more out of shape, she just looks more and more fabulous!

Campbell Boy Visit

Stacy's college friend, Stowe and his wife and three boys traveled from Eugene, Oregon to Los Angeles. He stopped by our house on the way there to break up the trip. Shelby had a blast with the two older boys, and he even wanted to hold Ethan (7 months). By the end of the night the house looked like it was hit by a tornado, but we would not have it any other way.

From Left to right: Brodey (3), Ethan, Shelby, Tristan (4).

Stacy and Stowe even got up and went to the high school to run on Saturday morning.

Fun with Nina

I tried uploading Rebecca's video from Shelby & Nina's fun at Tilden Park on the train and at the park last weekend, but it just wouldn't work for me.
Please go to Rebecca's page: http://web.mac.com/rebeccabara/Our_Site/Home.html at the top of the page, click on "Featured Movie" then it's Railwood Railroad and Hap McGee Ranch

She did a fabulous job adding music, combining video and pics....you gotta check it out!

Happy Spring!

We say good-bye to the rediculously chilled days, though we'll miss the warm cuddly fires in our fireplace, and we welcome spring with open, warm arms!

Happy Birthday, Spencer

Shelby had good fun at his buddy, Spencer's, Thomas the Train party! All grins for cake and ice cream.Happy Birthday to you....Hey, Nicholas, let me see.Mmm...it's good...Isaiah concentrated hard on demolishing his goodies.Shelby and Jakie snuck off to a back room and found more toys to play with.

Storytime with Uncle Mason

When we returned from the Olsen house, Uncle Mason and his business partner, Chris were waiting. They were in the area for business meetings, and we were excited to spend some time with them. Mason took over storytime that night.

Olsen Brothers

A few weekends ago, Stacy, Shelby and I had a blast with an overnight stay at Casa de Olsen's! Brent took Anissa to the city for her birthday...dinner, nice hotel, spa, parade, shopping, etc. (Way to go, Brent!) We got to play with the Olsen Brothers! We all had an absolute blast!!!!
Shelby and Derek are only about 5 mo apart, so it was fun to watch them play together.
Blast from the past. Me & Brent with Shelby & Derek at Derek's birth back in Texas.
And even more fun to watch them team up to beat up Stacy.Trust me, you don't want to see the photos after this. Shelby wasn't strong enough to pull Daddy down, but who'd have guessed he was strong enough to expose his father. LOL!When Stacy'd had enough, he took up tossing the ball around with the eldest Olsen boy, Braden. Braden's been doing great, excelling in sports and was such a big helper in our stay there. The boys had a blast on their amazing playground in the back yard. I couldn't convince Dallin and Landon to leave the video game until the afternoon. After a good exhausting play outside, it was nap time. Shelbs was out in the boys' room. Derek can't ever nap with all the noise older bro's make, but he sure crashed on Sat. It was so cute, he reach his arms up to Stacy and laid his head on his shoulder. Stacy sat down and D crashed on his chest.Braden chilled out on the couch and watched a few shows.Abby went with us, and she was even pooped out.Dallin and Landon were still trying to master slaying the bad guys. I couldn't help but include this shot, as I caught Landon being a boy! Picking his nose and licking his finger is definitely typical boy behavior! Ewww.....After nap time I made all the men in the house get bundled up for a fun afternoon at the neighborhood park. It was an amazing park and we all had a ton of fun. Even the walk there and back was an adventure!Landon and Shelby got along really well.I love this shot because it describes how Shelby looked up to Braden pretty much the whole weekend.Landon and Shelbs decided to play on the coolest see-saw I've ever seen!I didn't have a pick of just Dallin and Shelby from the weekend, so I thought I'd pull one out from 2.5 yrs ago. So cute!!!! Dallin, when did you grow up into such a handsome young gentleman!!!! Time flies...I stole a moment with the Shelbster to enjoy a swing.
We had so much fun and excitement from an hour and a half game of hide-and-go-seek in which I almost went undiscovered, except for the vibrating phone in my pocket telling me I had a text message and telling Landon where to find me. Ha!
These boys amaze me. They're typical boys alright with all the energy and battles that come with being a household of brothers, but how they're so darn well-mannered is beyond me! I'm begging Anissa to write all her secrets down to share with a fellow mom about to pull her hair out sometimes! :->
When can we come again!

Mommy's Valentine's Celebration

For the Friday of Valentine's weekend, I went to Sonoma wine country with my work team. We had a fabulous day of wine tasting at beautiful wineries! This was at Ledson. (L to R: Rachel, Erica, Karen, Shari & me)

Shelby's Valentine's Celebration

On Valentine's Day, Shelby wanted to have his friends over to play. We went door to do until we had picked up Riley, Jett and Aaron.Hey, anybody wanna pull us around? The next day Tiffany and I took the kids out for a bike ride. Shelby got so frustrated that Juaquin was so much faster than him.
"Juaquin, wait for me!"
Go Super Mom with the 3 yrs old and the 3 mo old!We decided the track was much less stressful for the Moms. After a while, Shelby had enough of being #2. He ditched the bike and wanted to race. He ran faster than Juaquin, so he was happier with that arrangement, but soon J was asking to get back on the bikes. Wow, men get competitiveness as 3 yrs old!
It was definitely a great weekend!

Ode to Football Season past

I love this video of Shelby & Daddy playing football in the yard on a lazy Sunday.

He talks about throwing up because before I got out there, Daddy spun him upside down enough the Shelbster barfed up breakfast. Nice.....

CARS!

So sorry for the horrible lighting!
I had fun capturing Shelby playing with his cars one morning. More of the spread out all the birthday presents strategy.

He was very particular about how he lined them all up.

Then he took his Valentine's gift (umbrella) from us and made the cars into a body for the centipede.

Yes, I let him open the umbrella in the house. Screw superstition.
