Grammy and Grandpa were here to visit last weekend. We had a ton of fun! Shelby had a Trike-A-Thon, a Karate Belt Promotion and on Sunday, he joined them and Daddy for fun at the zoo!
The trike-a-thon was pretty funny, because we realized just how much Shelby had outgrown his bike and helmet. At first he did okay.
Then after getting passed up several times, he was riding over with the awful look below on his face. He said, "This bike is too slow! I need a bigger bike!" He ditched his tricycle and went over to borrow one of the school's.
Then there was no stopping him.

Kyle, Shelby and Giselle were the last 3 riding, while the other kids took a popcorn break. Giselle never let up, but eventually Shelby and Kyle gave in to the smell of popcorn. Kyle was so cute, having borrowed his older sister's helmet.
Shelby's frustration and defeat was too much for Grandpa and Grammy to watch, so as soon as the trike-a-thon was over, the adults headed to Toys R Us and Shelby has a beautiful new bike and helmet hiding in the shed for Christmas. Can we say SPOILED!
